The Bupa Great North Run is the world’s biggest and most iconic half marathon. With more that 54,000 runners and nearly as many spectators the race has a fantastic atmosphere, full of dedication, passion, and fun!

Got your own place?

If you’re lucky enough to be allocated a Ballot entry or you have a wheelchair entry and want to take part for Spinal Research, we just ask that you raise as much as you can to help us develop treatments to restore feeling and mobility to people paralysed as a result of breaking their neck or back.

What can you expect from us?

Everyone in our team will receive a full support package including:

  • A comprehensive fundraising guide
  • Personalised sponsor forms
  • Details on how to set up an online fundraising page
  • A complete half marathon training guide
  • Regular team e-newsletters
  • A cheering party en-route on race day, with sweeties to keep you going!
  • A Spinal Research running vest
  • Not to mention heaps of encouragement, help and advice!

We are pleased to be supported by Graeme Hilditch's Fit FAQ’s, a service designed to help you train for a half marathon. To find out more visit Fit FAQ’s. Run by personal trainer Graeme Hilditch (author of our training guides), Fit FAQ’s can help you achieve your marathon goals.
