‘The information we were sent in the run-up, the reception afterwards and the support along the way was fantastic.’

Most runners will be glad to get home after the marathon. But spare a thought for the families who don’t have a decent home to go to.
In England, there are more than a million children trapped in overcrowded homes. And thousands of people in rundown, unsafe or insecure housing approach us for advice every day.
Shelter believes everyone should have a home. We help people find and keep a home. We campaign for decent housing for all.
Don’t take our word for it – watch some of our marathon runners talking about their experiences.
‘I'm lucky to have a nice house to live in – many don’t. I help out at an advice centre and know how unfortunate the circumstances are for
a lot of people.’
