In 2012 we had a team of over 500 runners raising £1million for vulnerable children whilst having the experience of a lifetime at this iconic event. In 2013 you could be part of it!
We will support you every step of the way with expert training advice, a sponsorship pack and running vest, dedicated cheering teams around the course and a well-earned massage at our post-race reception just minutes from the finish line.
Apply now
In return for an NSPCC gold bond place, we ask each applicant to guarantee to raise a minimum sponsorship of £2,000 (excluding gift aid), so please think carefully before applying. It is very important that everyone who signs up is 100% committed as we will require the full £2,000 by the end of June 2013. When choosing our runners we look for those with fantastic fundraising ideas who can raise the minimum and above, so please maximise your chances by writing absolutely everything on your form.
We also ask you to pay a £100 registration fee, which is separate to the minimum sponsorship target and fully refundable if we can't offer you a place on our team. Apply for your Gold Bond place now
Successful in the London Marathon ballot?
If you were one of the lucky ones who got a place through the London Marathon ballot, we would love you to join teamGO! Please complete our own place registration form and we'll send you a welcome pack. There is no minimum sponsorship commitment, we just ask that you raise as much as you can for children.
Our support
As part of NSPCC teamGO you will receive full support throughout your marathon journey. To help you get to the start line and over the finish line, we provide:
"Thank you for organising such enthusiastic support! Every time I ran past an NSPCC cheering point there was a roar of encouragement and shouting of my name - it felt so good, it helped me no end. That was my first ever marathon and it was the most amazing experience. Thank you for enabling me to do it and give my support to such a worthy charity. Thank you!"
Emily, 2011 Virgin London Marathon Runner
Why run for the NSPCC?
On marathon day, like every day, around 4,500 children will phone ChildLine. At the moment we can only answer two thirds of their calls. With your help we hope to answer every child's cry for help.
