When someone is told they have a blood disease their life is quite literally shattered. Scared, vulnerable and with many questions that need answering, it’s often difficult to talk to family and friends about their feelings and worries.
About Leukaemia CARE
Leukaemia CARE is a national charity that has provided care and support to people affected by leukaemia, lymphoma and the other allied blood disorders since 1969. Yet with more than 26,500 new cases diagnosed each year we need to ensure our services are better known and made more readily available to those in need. Leukaemia CARE provides the only free 24-hour CARE Line, 365 days a year, which people can call for advice and reassurance. The Charity also has a network of Volunteers across the UK who offer understanding & friendship. This is essential as people can feel a great deal of strain when coming to terms with their diagnosis.
How we are funded?
Leukaemia CARE does not receive any government funding or lottery grants. We rely solely on donations and fundraising in order to provide the vital care and support needed by patients and their families. We need more people like you to take part in our running events and raise the vital funds we need to continue our work
If you or anyone you know has been affected by leukaemia, lymphoma or the allied blood disorders and you feel we may be able to support them please call our CARE line number:
