This year we’re challenging members of the public to get out there, get active, and get noticed, to raise awareness and money for DEBRA.
Whether you’re running your first ever 10k or are a seasoned marathon runner you can get sponsored to do it and help us fight EB.
Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is an incurable genetic condition which causes the skin to blister and shear at the slightest touch – or even spontaneously. The condition is always painful, frequently very disabling and life threatening and, in its most severe forms, babies die within the first two years of life. It can also cause extremely aggressive, fatal skin cancer in teenagers and young adults.
DEBRA provides an expert team of nurses and social care staff and commissions world-leading research into the condition with the aim of finding effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
Good luck. Go out, get sweaty and raise money.
