Cat & Fiddle 55-mile Cycle Challenge

Our annual Cat & Fiddle 55-mile Cycle Challenge saw 1,299 participants joining us last year and we're aiming for 1,500 this year so please come and join us in this terrific event.
Starting from Brian Rourke's Cycle shop in Stoke-on-Trent, the route goes through Staffordshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire and the beautiful Peak District National Park - including the infamous Cat and Fiddle climb (7 miles long).
Some riders do the course in under 2hrs, some take all day but all receive a big welcome from Brian Rourke's and the CF Trust at the finish line followed by sandwich, cake and a cuppa! This is not a race, it's a fun run!
Ben Nevis Weekend Challenge
Ever considered conquering Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis, standing proud at over 4,406-ft?
In return for a minimum sponsorship pledge of £350, your Ben Nevis Challenge weekend includes all this for FREE:
- Transfers between Glasgow Central Train Station or Glasgow International Airport and Fort William
- 2 nights BB&D accommodation in Fort William
- Packed lunch for your Saturday Ben Nevis walk

This is a challenging walk but there's no technical climbing involved and everyone should conquer Ben Nevis at least once in their lifetime!

Everest Base Camp Trek

Regularly voted one of the best treks in the world, Everest Base camp is a real adventure! Trekking amongst the breathtaking scenery of the Nepalese Himalayas, your route will pass through various mountain villages allowing you to soak up the culture and meet the friendly locals.
The route takes you via the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar through beautiful valleys, dense forests and across glacial rivers before reaching the renowned viewpoint of Kalapatar, on the approach to Everest Base Camp, with fantastic views of the world's tallest mountain. There will also be time to explore the colourful capital to Kathmandu.

Kilimanjaro Trek, Tanzania
The highest freestanding mountain in the world, Mt Kilimanjaro is also the highest mountain on the African continent at 5,896m. Its snow-capped summit rises high above the dusty African plains; huge permanent glaciers flow down from the summit, spectacular views and beautiful ice formations are the reward for pushing your limits both physically and mentally.
This trek takes the less-trodden Machame route, allowing you to camp and fully appreciate the splendour of your surroundings and the clear mist skies. The terrain changes as you ascend the mountain, passing through thick forest, moorland and scree en route to the highest point of the crater, Uhuru Peak.

Coast to Coast Cycle Ride
The Coast to Coast Cycle Ride runs from Whitehaven on the Cumbrian coastline to Sunderland on the North-East coast, crossing the Pennines along the way. Join us for three days of cycling as we take on the full 140-mile route.
This really is a classic ride and all keen cyclists should complete it at least once in their lifetime.
We will start bright and early on the Friday morning (although there is accommodation available for the Thursday night for those that need it) and we will arrive in Sunderland on Sunday afternoon.
In return for a minimum sponsorship pledge, you will get accommodation for the Friday and Saturday nights, all meals from breakfast on Friday to lunch on Sunday, refreshments along the route, support vehicles for the ride and a Cystic Fibrosis Trust representative to ensure all goes smoothly.
Half of the ride will be along quiet country lanes which will not be closed to traffic, so riders should all be confident cycling on roads.
