Who are we?

Camp Simcha exists to improve the quality of life for Jewish children with Cancer and other life threatening illnesses throughout the UK.

How many people do we help?

We currently support over 350 children from around 100 families throughout the UK. In addition we reach over 1,000 children of all religions and backgrounds in hospital wards and hospices with balloons, clowns and toys.

How do we help?

Throughout the year we offer a variety of activities, free of charge, with the help of a large network of volunteers trained to make a difference through powerful positive experiences. They visit the children regularly at home or in hospital and help to provide a range of events throughout the year.

These include:

  • Parties
  • Outings
  • Special treats
  • Summer Camp in America
  • Day camps in the UK
  • 3 day family retreats

The pressures and anguish of caring for a seriously ill child takes its toll on parents and siblings. That is why we have a number of services, such as our Family Liaison Officers and our Home Support Volunteers, designed to help parents cope emotionally and practically, and all of our events are open to siblings, often the forgotten sufferers.

What can you do?

As with any non-profit organisation, charitable funds are essential to ensure that we can continue to offer our services to families who need them.

The life blood of Camp Simcha is its volunteers. From our big brothers and big sisters who give up their time to entertain the children, to people from the community who offer to raise funds for Camp Simcha.
