Overseas Treks

Together with trek organisers Charity Challenge, we offer an exhilarating calendar of events throughout the world and throughout the year. From the glacier-topped peak of Kilimanjaro , to the hot and humid jungles of Thailand, there really is something for everyone with a passion for travel and a sense of adventure.

In 2008 we are also offering Breakthrough supporters the chance to participate in the Breakthrough Great Wall Discovery 24 May – 01 June 2008. Join Breakthrough as we trek along the Great Wall of China and experience the extremes of both modern and rural life that China has to offer.

This trip includes:

The opportunity to witness Imperial China’s frontline defence
A trek through Black Dragon Pools National Park
A trip to Ganfang Village in the Hebei Province where you will mix with local villagers and experience rural Chinese life
A tour of Beijing including the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven

You can fund your Great Wall Discovery in two ways:
All participants pay a non-refundable registration fee of £195 plus £60 insurance cover. You can then either:

1) Pledge to raise a minimum of £2,420 for Breakthrough from which Breakthrough will cover the balance of your expedition fees

2) Pay the balance of £1,185 yourself, then fundraise as much as you can. This option includes a £100 donation to Breakthrough.
