Five bridges, five boroughs and 2.5 million spectators lining the route. The ING New York City Marathon is a race like no other.

The ING New York City Marathon is one of the world's largest and most famous road races - many say the most exciting in the world.

Starting on Staten Island you cross the huge expanse of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge into the diverse communities of Brooklyn before hitting the streets of Manhattan.

We do not set a specific fundraising target for this event, however if you can raise £1,200 or above for Asthma UK we will help to cover some of your travel and accommodation costs.

Option 1 Raise £1,200 and above

Your race entry fee (£399) will be refunded

Options 2 Raise £1,500 and above

Asthma UK will refund up to £550 of your travel, accommodation and entry costs

Option 3 Raise £2,000 and above

Asthma UK will refund up to £700 of your travel, accommodation and entry costs

The money you raise by running the ING New York City Marathon will help the 5.4 million people with asthma in the UK, many of whom suffer with symptoms needlessly, to take control of their asthma.

If you don't have asthma, you probably know somebody who does - and with your support we will understand more about the causes of asthma and free people with asthma from its effects.
