Cheering Squad & Helen

CJ de Mooi from the TV quiz show 'The Egg Heads' ran as part of Team Amnesty 2010. CJ told us what motivated him to run for Amnesty:

“I've been a member of Amnesty International for 15 years and it is by far the most important charity in the world to me. The work they do for Human Rights across the world is imperative, everyone needs to support them.”

Why run for Amnesty International?

If you decide to join Team Amnesty you will be running as part of a movement. A movement of brave, motivated people helping the fight to prevent human rights abuses.

Amnesty International is about individuals working to make the world a better place for other individuals. The money you raise will go towards funding our research and campaigns which help to promote and prevent human rights abuses.

What are the benefits of running as part of Team Amnesty?

  • Team Amnesty running vest and T-shirt
  • Fundraising pack full of helpful tips and advice
  • Materials (free stickers, balloons and campaigning suggestions)
  • Media pack
  • Post race party (which includes a free meal and massage!)
  • A dedicated fundraiser, on hand for help and advice
  • Cheering squad on the day

Can I run as part of Team Amnesty if I get my own place?

Yes! If you are successful in securing a place through the ballot we would love you to run on the day as part of Team Amnesty. To join our team simply contact us and state that you have a ballot place. No registration fee is required and there is no minimum sponsorship target (although the more you raise the greater the benefit for human rights!). You will receive all the benefits listed above.
