“ There is no better cause for which to raise money, as seafarers are often overlooked. I am proud to say I managed to collect over £3,000, which was made easier with the valuable support of the Sailors’ Society events team.”
Gary Ward – Marathon Runner 2007
Seafarers are often berthed some distance from shops and facilities. Time ashore is limited. Seafarers miss their families and contacting them is of paramount importance. The Sailors’ Society, a multi-denominational Christian charity, provides a personal life-line for seafarers onboard and ashore.
