The Carers Association supports Ireland's voluntary family Carers in the home, caring for loved-ones who are elderly & frail, seriously ill, people with disabilities and children with special needs.
Caring at home for a loved-one can be a deep source of comfort, but many people in high-dependency and long-term caring roles can suffer isolation, poor physical & mental health and even poverty.
Any one of us, at any time, can become a family Carer
Any one of us, at any time, can find ourselves in need of care
Do something wonderful for some of the hardest-working people in Ireland.
You'll help support The Carers Association's mission to improve the quality of life of family Carers by helping to fund:
- A listening ear answering calls for help and advice on the FREEFONE National Care Line 1800 24 07 24
- Vital in-home respite hours for carers in high dependency situations at times of urgent need
- Keeping the doors open and the kettle on at Carers Resource Centres around Ireland
- Health & Information workshops and specialized training in practical home care skills
- Giving practical advice, information and help online, through the post and in person
- Continuing to advocate and lobby for a better quality of life for family Carers
